About Nelly
In 1997 I discovered that I had the gift to coordinate an event when I was eight months pregnant & gave myself a baby shower for my first born. I didn’t want to know the sex of my baby so; my theme was storks & rainbows with a focus of yellow & green as my color theme. My living room came alive with clouds in the ceiling, storks carrying babies by their diaper flying over the rainbow with the sun in the distance. As my guest arrived, they were mesmerized by how well put together the decoration was along with the delicious choices of food. Since then, I have done many events for others such as; baby/bridal showers, bachelorette parties, birthday parties for all ages, anniversary celebrations (personal/church), fundraising events, family reunions, church events, health seminars, Prom send off, Sweet sixteen, trips to various places & Trunk Parties just to name a few.
The Small Details
Nelly EDT has organized several destination women retreats. That consisted of making reservations, booking of speakers, itineraries, restaurant reservations, printing of materials used during presentation and centerpieces for the tables in the banquet room. Nelly EDT has had its hand in organizing Teen health fairs and being on the board of the Children’s Department at my last church. Being on the board gave me the opportunity to actively plan activities and decorate for events as they occurred. I currently serve on two boards at my current church, where I plan & coordinate their events..
